We left our house at 6:40 am on Saturday, March 14 and arrived in Beijing at our hotel at 11:30 pm Sunday, March 15. Whew! What a day ....or was it two??? We had good flights, no problems. Landings always get the best of me but once I'm firmly planted on the ground again my tummy settles down. Other than being just a really long series of flights...everything really did go smoothly! Natalee had a little bit of trouble on the long leg from Minne to Tokyo with sleeping and hives....but after some medicine the hives settled down and so did she. She has been a trooper!
We have to meet our guide at 9am for our day of touring. Oh, we were picked up by our guide tonight and we have a personal driver who's taking us around in a new Buick mini-van. ;)
Both Kyle & I have commented at various times just how "surreal" it all feels still...that after such a long wait we are going to meet our daughter in just a few days.
One more thing and then I've got to get some sleep....Nat was having a snack when we arrived in our hotel room and she asked..."mom, does 'guides name' know God? I hope so." So do we sweetheart but we can sure show her his love through us these next few days.
